Original deep purple cloth, richly gilt to the spine and front board. Size: 12.5cm x 18.8cm. 1st edition. pp. vii + 245 + 2 ads. With 8 full page steel engravings by W Sharpe. Binding very nice and tight. Hinges very firm. Cloth very bright and clean and with no fading to the spine. Pages and steel-engravings very nice and clean. From the library at Wennington Hall followed by the library of R. J. Hayhurst. Very minor creasing to the cloth with only the smallest amount of fraying. A fine, tight, bright, clean copy. Very scarce in this exceptional condition.
