Antique Kalamkari Textile Wall-Hanging

Date: undated but attributed to the 19th century. Possibly very early 20th Century. Size: 113.4cm x 189cm. Hand block printed on glazed cotton. Produced in India or possibly Persia. Double-sided. Highly decorative, with images of the Cypress Tree of Life, birds including peacocks, animals and flowers on one side with a floral decoration to the reverse. One of a near-matching pair that we have in stock which are 2cm different in size. Has a few very minor age-spots, minor wear and pin holes to the corners and minor creasing but in fine condition overall with excellent colouration and sheen to the cotton surface. Scarce.
