The design presents an imagined ornamental garden populated by elegant birds, sculptural fountains, stylised trees and richly patterned planting, forming a continuous panoramic composition around the full circumference of the shade.

Tall, long-legged Secretary birds stand among the flowers and foliage, accompanied by smaller wading birds positioned throughout the garden. Their distinctive crests, elongated forms and finely detailed plumage give the composition a lively and characterful quality. Each bird is individually posed, ensuring that the design changes and develops as the lampshade is viewed from different angles.

Two elaborate fountains provide strong architectural focal points. One takes the form of a classically proportioned basin with a decorative finial, while the other is a more elaborate tiered structure with cascading water. These formal garden elements contrast effectively with the looser arrangement of flowers, trees and foliage surrounding them.

The Amber and Spicy colourway gives the design a warm, sophisticated appearance. Broad areas of amber and earthy botanical tones create depth across the garden landscape, while the darker printed details define the birds, fountains, flowers and trees.
