The Landscape Lampshade in Jade by Lush Designs is a beautifully illustrated decorative shade featuring an original screen-print on parchment. The design presents an imagined rural panorama of rolling hills, patchwork fields, distant mountains and scattered trees, arranged as a continuous landscape around the full circumference of the shade.

The foreground is divided into an intricate patchwork of cultivated fields, each distinguished by its own hand-drawn pattern. Flowing lines, dots, short strokes and geometric marks suggest ploughed land, growing crops, hedgerows and changes in terrain. Beyond these richly patterned fields, the landscape rises towards open hills and mountain ridges, creating a strong sense of depth and distance.

Stylised trees appear throughout the composition, from isolated specimens in the foreground to small groups set against the distant hills. Their simplified forms complement the expressive linework of the fields and reinforce the lampshade’s distinctive illustrative character. The continuous composition changes as the shade is turned, revealing new combinations of hills, trees and patterned farmland from every viewpoint.
