The large Siskin Lampshade in Turquoise and Black by Lush Designs is a striking decorative shade featuring an original screen-printed design on parchment. Its continuous woodland composition depicts stylised siskins perched, feeding and turning among arching branches, hanging seed heads and richly patterned undergrowth.

The birds are shown in a variety of animated poses around the full circumference of the shade. Some stand upright among the foliage, while others lean or hang downwards as though feeding from the surrounding branches. Their pointed beaks, patterned wings and expressive silhouettes give the design a strong sense of movement and individual character.

The turquoise and black colourway creates a bold and highly graphic appearance. Turquoise defines the birds, rolling ground, leaves and decorative details, while black provides depth, contrast and visual structure. Black binding around the upper and lower edges gives the shade a crisp, coordinated and professionally finished appearance.

Rather than repeating a single isolated motif, the original illustration continues around the entire circumference. New condition. The parchment surface, original screen-printed decoration, internal frame, edging and fitting have been inspected prior to sale.
