Arumbaya Fetish – 46001 – Tintin Museum Collection Resin Model – Le Musée Imaginaire de Tintin – Limited Edition – 2017

A highly detailed limited-edition resin sculpture depicting the famous Arumbaya Fetish, one of the most recognisable and important objects in Hergé’s The Adventures of Tintin. Produced by Moulinsart in 2017 as part of the prestigious Le Musée Imaginaire de Tintin collection, this officially licensed collector’s piece faithfully recreates the celebrated tribal statue at the heart of one of Tintin’s greatest mysteries.

The Arumbaya Fetish occupies a central role in The Broken Ear (L’Oreille Cassée), first published in serial form between 1935 and 1937. The theft of the fetish from an ethnographic museum sets in motion a globe-spanning adventure involving forgery, espionage, political intrigue and hidden secrets. The object remains one of the most iconic artefacts in the Tintin universe and is instantly recognisable to generations of readers.

Beautifully modelled from Hergé’s original artwork, this sculpture faithfully captures the distinctive stylised form of the fetish, complete with its carved facial features and characteristic proportions. The piece reflects Hergé’s fascination with museums, archaeology and ethnographic collections, themes that recur throughout many of the Tintin adventures.

Expertly cast in resin and finished in hand-applied polychrome decoration designed to evoke carved wood, the sculpture offers exceptional display presence despite its compact size. Standing approximately 19 cm high, it is an ideal addition to collections devoted to Tintin, comic art, museum objects and officially licensed Moulinsart memorabilia.

Presented in its original Le Musée Imaginaire de Tintin packaging and accompanied by its numbered certificate of authenticity, this example remains in new condition.

The Le Musée Imaginaire de Tintin collection celebrates the most important characters, objects, vehicles and symbols from Hergé’s work through museum-quality sculptures designed for serious collectors. As one of the defining artefacts from The Broken Ear, the Arumbaya Fetish remains among the most significant and sought-after pieces within the series.
