An uncommon and historically revealing German propaganda leaflet issued for circulation in occupied France during the Second World War, attacking Winston Churchill, Radio Londres and British wartime reporting under the title Le bluff britannique et les mensonges de Churchill aux prises avec la réalité (“British Bluff and Churchill’s Lies Confronted by Reality”).

Printed in French as a four-page folded leaflet, the publication seeks to undermine confidence in Churchill and the Allied war effort by juxtaposing statements attributed to Churchill, Radio Londres, Reuters and the British press with German interpretations of military events between 1939 and 1942. The text references Poland, Norway, Belgium, France, Dunkirk, Crete, North Africa, Russia and the naval exploits of the German warships Scharnhorst, Gneisenau and Prinz Eugen, presenting these campaigns as evidence of alleged British deception and German military superiority.

The leaflet forms part of the wider German psychological warfare campaign directed at occupied Europe. Such publications were intended not merely to report events but to shape public opinion, weaken faith in Allied broadcasts and discourage resistance to German occupation.
