The trees vary in height, silhouette and structure. Some have broad, divided trunks with dense networks of fine branches, while others are narrower and more upright with compact crowns. Several trunks are ornamented with bands of dots, arches and geometric motifs, introducing a subtle folk-art influence and giving each tree an individual character.

The woodland imagery is arranged in staggered rows around the full circumference of the shade. This creates a sense of depth and rhythm while preserving the strong graphic clarity of the original illustration. Smaller leaf-like forms interrupt the rows of trees at intervals, adding variety and reinforcing the natural theme.
