Following an intermission of over two years, our Ripon gallery is now open again. During this period we have been managing our shop and specialist herbaceous plant nursery at Newby Hall and Gardens, www.newbyhall.com along with acquiring new stock, much of which will begin to appear on our website over the coming months.
Three early lithographs by Mark Hearld will be the first to be added. We maintain that his early collaborations with the Curwen Studio and with The Penfold Press represent a golden age in his printmaking canon that has yet to be surpassed.
Further additions will include Charlie Bears from the 2022 collection and the Isabelle Collection alongside many more of the Tintin 1/24 scale model cars.
Finally, we will be cataloguing a large quantity of rare books, maps and ephemera, with highlights including exceptional items relating to A.A. Milne and his son Christopher, a manuscript poem by T.H. White, fine and inscribed copies of modern children’s and illustrated books and some rare crime fiction titles.
