An exceptionally scarce game board map of Europe published by John Betts from his premises at 115 Strand, London. This differs slightly from the first edition which was published whilst he was at 7 Compton Street in Brunswick Square as it has a different border. Betts, a London-based publisher, was known for producing educational materials, including maps, globes, and games aimed at teaching geography. This game was designed to educate players about European geography. It typically included a map and various playing pieces, and it was used as an entertaining way to learn about different countries and regions. The game was popular during the Victorian era when there was a significant interest in education and exploration.
