Very minor age-toning but generally very bright and clean with good margins. A strong impression. Overall in near fine condition. Scarce thus.

Description:

A mid-seventeenth-century copper-engraved county map of Middlesex from the Amsterdam house of Willem and Joan Blaeu, issued for their grand atlases (notably the Atlas Novus). The title appears in Latin as Middle-Sexia (variants include Middlesexia or Middlesexiae Comitatus). The sheet blends scholarly compilation with courtly ornament, intended both for reference and display.
