Produced by Moulinsart in 2019 as part of the prestigious Le Musée Imaginaire de Tintin collection, this officially licensed collector’s piece faithfully recreates the terrifying Incan mummy whose appearance haunts one of the greatest Tintin adventures.

Rascar Capac, the ancient Incan king known as “He Who Unleashes Fire from Heaven”, plays a pivotal role in The Seven Crystal Balls (Les Sept Boules de Cristal). Although long dead, his preserved mummy becomes the focus of a series of mysterious events surrounding an archaeological expedition returning from South America. Through a sequence of unforgettable dream scenes and supernatural occurrences, Rascar Capac emerged as one of the most atmospheric and enduring creations in the entire Tintin canon.

Beautifully modelled from Hergé’s original artwork, this sculpture captures the striking appearance of the Incan ruler, complete with ceremonial headdress, jewellery, bindings and skeletal features. The figure remains instantly recognisable to generations of Tintin readers and represents one of the most iconic visual images in the series.

Expertly cast in resin and finished with hand-applied polychrome decoration, the sculpture reflects the museum-quality production standards for which the Le Musée Imaginaire de Tintin collection has become renowned.
